Is there anyway around using a flywheel puller to get the stator off. I dont have one and none of the parts stores around here do either. Its the only thing stopping me on this rebuild

He's right. The puller is the only good way to get a flywheel loose. They are cheap and work well. Its a hassle to have to wait for one, but trust me...they are worth the money.
There a few ways that you can get the flywheel off without a puller, but it involves dirty girt hammers and no way am I going to reveal the secrets because I wish to prolong my reputation.
