Hi I'm new to this and looking to see if anyone has a procedure for removing and installing a new stator on a 1990 blaster thanks for the help

get a flywheel puller.
pull the flywheel
use a hammer drive screwdriver to remove 2 large head screws on the stator
install new one

whats the poll for?

Thanks I heard it had to be aligned a certain way is this true

Put it back in the way it came out. There's no adjustment on a stock stator, just correct or not.

the flywheel aligns with the woodruff key
for timing..that is what you meant lol:)
the key is only like 3- 4 bucks if you happen to lose or break it:)

so pull flywheel/dont lose the small metal key installed on crankshaft.
install new stator....OEM is recommended 4 wire for your year/if it is aftermarket it will be probably be 5 wires which is ok but most of the aftermarket stators will not work on a blaster/it will lead to it not starting...so get a oem or find one you want and let us know and we will tell you if it is a waste of money:)
