Spark arrestor?

I was planning on makeing some trips to the forest around here as soon as the trails open, but the person I bought "Blastatron" from removed everything out of the stock silencer. I know I need a spark arrestor to go into the forest blah blah blah, but I don't really know what it is. If I purchased the missing parts for the stock silencer would that be enough?

Why would someone remove that anyways? Do you gain any power from it?

well the spark arrestor is like a mesh that stop sparks from goin so if u buy the missing parts make sure it comes with like a mesh

Not positive, but I think mine is a 98. The guy before me wasn't very clear on anything.
