Getting a blaster i'm told was built from the ground up. He said it was an 03 but all of the parts must be from an 02 or older because it has the old style hood and pull brakes. I'm going to call the police dept tommrow and get the vin checked and I will also check to see what year the frame is. The quad has no title but i want to get it titled so i need to get the vin checked before i buy a stolen quad and get fined.

Does anyone have experience with getting a title for a quad with a lost title. I found a form to fill out on the dcnr website to get a title but I want to see if anyone else has a good or bad experience with this.

thats definately not an 03, and he either dont know sh*t, or he's lying, and if so what else is he lying about ????
you may wanna check the compression before buying, anything close to or under 100psi, is gonna need rebuilt soon
but looks pretty clean, and if your trading him the kx 65, i'd say go for it, good deal
why do you feel the need for a tiitle ????? but definately at least get a "bill of sale"

I got the vin and it shows that its an 02 (not surprised).

compresion test before anything is in oreder i can tell you from the pics both front tires are flat (am i the only on that noticed) he dont know what hes talking about if he says the parts have to be pre 03 unless it has to do with the brakes or headlight so id give it a good look over b4 i thought about buying it

How doesn't he know what hes talking about if he says the parts are all before 03. The headlight breaks and plastics are the only parts that are different and they are from before 03. I know the tires are flat he told me that but i dont care cuz the tread looks bad on them anyway. I plan on picking through it before i get it so don't worry about that.

This sounds bad josh, not to bust your balls, this dude dont know what hes talking about, the light fixture is older not and 03, the fenders idk, but the hood under the light, yea totally 02 or older, i got and o2 and it came with same light and hood, so yea bro idk, but just letting ya know, trying to save you headaces, and a loss of money, lol this is blaster forum, half these guys build bikes in there living room there so addicted and could build one in like 2 days

Maybe you should read all the posts before you comment and look like a retard because I replied that once I got the vin number and checked it it was an 02. He told me he thought it was an 03 when i talked to him before but he wasn't positive. When you don't know much about the quad and have it sitting around its not to difficult to be off by a year.

looks like a straight up stock quad. i would trad a kx 65 for it in a heart beat as long as the compression is good, it starts, and there is no knocking.(like piston slap or bad crank bearing. nice find man
