From a layman's perspective I would think as long as the engine is turning then the oil is pumping into the carb at the same rate ..and being drawn in because the slide is never fully closed..
Is this flawed logic.? Does not the oil pump feed oil depending upon engine speed not throttle position ?

The pump supplies oil at a rate determined by engine speed...

The DT200 pump uses a cable from the carb to increase oil as you give it more throttle, as well as more with rpm.
