Hi i know this isn't the correct way to do it but the nearest bike shop to me is like a hour away and i don't really want to go just to get piston measured. so i decided to use a tape measure and its come up as 2inches and one eights would someone be able to tell me the size for it? iv converted 2 inches to 50.8 mm so i think the piston in my engine is a standard one but not entirely sure.

Sorry to say but a tape measure just isn't accurate enough. You need a micrometer to accurately measure the cylinder bore

Yeah, Micrometer or Calipers man, digital too. Tolerances to the .xxx mean everything with rings and cylinder. You can pick up a decent pair at your local hardware store for maybe $30...and the can be used for everything...just don't use them as a wrench. I:I
