no real power gains, but crisper throttle response.
fairly simple, should use a new gasket and leakdown test anytime you enter the reedcage/intake or head/base gaskets.

i always use a little blue loctite on the reed petal retainer screws.
it also helps if you put a thin coat of hi-temp copper rtv or yamabond on both sides of the gasket, allow to cure overnight.

and forget what the directions for aftermarket reeds says, always re-use the factory reed stops.
