I just extended swingarm on my blaster about 3 in and my buddies are telling me I'm going to loose alot of torque. The only power mod a really got now is a dynoport pipe. I ride alot at the coal mines which involves alot of hills, being the the reason the got the swingarm. So my question is should I change any of the sprockets to try to regain some torque or would it be dumb? Any performance mod recommendations?

loose torque from adding three inches to your swingarm? elaborate on this for me... as for the sprockets, you will have to experiment with different sizes to see what works best for your bike and the kind of riding you do. Most people run 14 front and stock 40 on the back on here.

I don't think you lose anything from an extended swinger. the gear ratio is the same just a longer chain. think your buddy's don't know very much. just keep ridin if you like the way it feels. the way changing the gearing works is a larger front gives more top speed, a larger rear gives you more bottom end. smaller tires also give you more bottom end.

A longer swingarm can give you less traction due to less % of weight on the rear wheels, but like said already, there is no loss of torque. Def the thing to have for hill climbing tho.

I have geared down before (13/42) and yes it was awesome for climbing hills but it was noticeably slower on the topend. I would recommend keeping stock (13/40) gearing for your usage. 14/40 would not be the way to go if you like climbing hills.
