II just rebuilt my blaster... Again!... I posted a few months back after I hit a big puddle too fast and sucked up enough water to steam clean my brand new bottom rod bearing on my brand new weisco crank. When that happened the crank locked up.(stupid me for starting it up after it sucked up the water). I will try to shorten this very long story up. I decided to not replace the rod bearing. Bad idea. I broke the motor down, cleaned everything, checked the side to side clearance and it was ok. while it was apart I polished the clutch cover, added a 400ex shock, ported the jug using Ken's instrucitonal. polished the head and exaust to a mirror finish, advance the timing, new fuel lines, removed tors, all braided cables, basically spent a s*!

I do more rebuilding than riding but it sounds great! You won't be riding that blasty will you... don't think I would be able to see with the shine off that thing!

yup i know what you mean about listening. guys on here said to check for leaks and i never got around to it. so a couple days ago i pulled my head off to sand it down so it wasnt warped anymore (the thing where you put it on oiled sandpaper and do the figure 8 pattern about 300 times) and put it back together without changing my head gasket. well i started it and it idled for a second the i heard a pop and it died. now very little compresion. im hoping it just needs a new gasket but well see. point is... listen to blasterforum members about airleaks and stuff. they know their stuff

we don't tell you to do this stuff just for fun! you can seriously mess your sh!t up!

sorry to hear about your bad luck though man, hope you get it back together soon
