sc0r1a's rebuild

I bet in real life that green looks BA! Keep up the progress.

what are you talking about? it looks BA in the picture lol

here is the run down on whats going to be what

green parts: frame, stator cover, oil pump cover, upper a-arms, carrier, rear sprocket, the 04 headlight housing.

lower a-amrs black, swinger, heal guards, front bumper, grab bar and the headlight is going to be blacked out

metallic blue parts are: steering stem, kicker, foot pegs, rear sprocket mount, rear caliper, and i couldn't get the rear spindles off the tires due to a rounded lug or they're be blue when i get new ones they will be, and a few other bolts here and there. Prolly do something with the front brakes in blue

and Mr_305 i'll be working on it next weekend after the big 1 year date with my lady :)

just one of the a-arms, the painter hasn't made it up to the shop today

i like the green man.........but imo....u shouldve taken apart the caps and removed the bolt and nut, then painted it

x2.. also on the frame, should have put plugs in all the bolt holes cause its sucks re threading everything...ive made that mistake before..lol

looks good tho,cant wait to see the blue/green/black combo..kinda funky,i like it..lol

I thought about that after I looked at the a-arms. I figured I can spray bomb the bolts if I need too.
And on the frame I left a lot of the smaller bolts that are under the hood that you wont see.

just testing it out

Edit: we own a convenience store and at one time we had a teachers store in the back and its now where i'm going to build the blaster back up. thats why theres all the goofy poster in the background.

I thought about doing homework but this seemed much better

Wait?! Isnt the arrow supposed to point to the exhaust port? It looks like its pointing to the intake.
If I were you, I would get a new piston/rings and a hone.

looks like it is pointing to the exhaust port to me.....what do you think is wrong with the piston???? you could just rering it and call it good....what was the compression

My mistake. The arrow is pointing to the exhaust. Get a compression tester and test the compression. Before putting it all back together, like yb said, I would ATLEAST re ring it.

I was just worried about the discoloration. I thought when metal changed colors that meant it got hot? Right? I haven't tested the compression, i dont have a thing to test it. The piston and the cylinder walls are fine with no scarring

well the motor has been bored 20 over but it has a stock piston in it with 20 over rings, gave me about 50 psi on the compression test
I'm going to get a new piston for 50 bucks

YIKES! Thats terrible. Get a new piston/rings for that baby and youll be good to go!

i just talked to my parts guy and the piston was 66.25!! so close. we ordered a new one and it'll be here tomorrow
on the plus side all the blue parts are painted and drying. I'll post pictures when i'm home
