runs like crap @ low rpms

Hey guys i am pretty new to blasters but i did have one when i was fifteen i loved it. Anyway i just got two as get them running quick projects.The first one is a 2001 i thought it ran good, starts first kick no choke idles great but when you start riding it almost sounds and feels like its the plug it sputters and breaks up, so i replaced it, still the same.I am thinking maybe cdi ,coil ,magnito but i have no idea. When i first got it back to gether i took apart and soaked the carb for good 4 hours i took off the tors unit running mixed gas 32:1 has dnd exhuast thats about all i know about it. thanks for any help

dnd exaust?? and it might be the airscrew or pilet jet

its def jetting...i ferget what one controls idle-1/4 throttle but it's def that

do you know how many turns should they be set at?

airscwer should be 1.5 turns out

If it starts good without the choke, your pilot/idle circuit is too rich. Try leaning out the airscrew (turn it counter-clockwise), but that likely wont be enough. You'll probably need a smaller pilot jet. Is it the stock carb?

i guess you guys were right, the dumb jurk who i got it from permatexed a head of a bolt on the manifold after he broke it off.I guessing that was to try to hide it. I removed the broken bolt and runs like a champ now thanks
