Runs 10 seconds and dies

Hi guys-
I just picked up a 2000 blasty. It ran fine until it ran out of gas. Well I mixed some gas (injector was removed) and started it back up it ran for maybe 1 minute and died. After kicking for a while I checked the plug and it was sparking, but changed it anyways. The blasty will start run for 10 sec and die. SO Ithought maybe I mixed to much oil so I drained the tank and carb, cleaned the carb. Measured out the gas and oil. Still will only run 10 sec and dies. My retarded throttle kill button (I am not sure what it is called, it suppose to go in the thumb throttle housing)- is hanging. It has a very little and has a button in it. Anyone have any help.

fix the kill switch and try again. then try cleaning everything, carb, petcock, airfilter. mabey even check the reeds.

sounds like your draining carb bowl then it dies.think it could be a gas flow problem. how long after it dies can you start it again?

It takes a few. I did not check to see if the the bowl is not filling. I just checked to make sure the floats shut off thegas. THanks, guys I will try your suggestions.

TORS ...maybe ? idk....does it die when you rev it ? or just idling...

try changin your fuel line could be a simple clog?
