I have a 99 yamaha blaster that I recently picked up. I don't know much about it besides it's got a gold series fmf fatty header pipe with full pipe. I've recently purchased a trail tech VAPOR for it. Basically it's a onboard computer that tells all kinds of info about the quad like speed, rpm's, temp and more. Now my question is what should I set the shift points at on the Trail tech? Also what should I set the warning temp at? Anyone know a good shift point.

The lights dont work unless you have it hooked up to the power.

I think you need to set the rrp or what ever it is at 2 to be accurate. I have it at 1, but idling at 2000 rpm isnt right, its lower than that...

Also with the temperature, when people tell you their temps on here, they use a heat gun on the outside of the outer fins. With the sensor on the top of the head, it will go very high in temp.

All in all, dont even bother setting the rpm shift and temp warnings.
