I just picked up this 2001 and decided to do some upgrades to it. so after ordering an awk08 rear hydro brake kit(which looks sweet by the way) I went to install it and the person who owned the blaster before me welded the right side foot peg assembly to the frame. I'm guessing he either stripped out the holes ofr the mount or broke them off. either way, I can't use the brake kit with it welded together. anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this. I didn't noticed it eariler because the rear brake was off the wheeler when I bought it. this will teach me for not looking at things closer before buying them.....

well u can cut the weld and fab u up some gussets and some more brackets thats if u good with a torch and stick Myself personaly Id carry it to a machine shop.
besides what i told ya in a pm, about just welding an extension to the existing pedal,
you could also cut/grind that peg off, redrill and tap new holes into the frame, and i have a peg if you need, free of charge
but i'd try welding an extension to the existing pedal route first, cut the one off my pedal, get new steel at lowes and make a new one, or i could send ya one of those if you'd like also, again, free of charge

I second what 99blasty said. awk08 kicks ass. he sells a great mod for the blaster at a really good price and you can't beat the customer support.

I had a silimar situation with the welded peg, I drilled the welds on the old peg, and welded bolt to the frame, Only problem is the the bolts will push the peg out a bit farther. Mine is fine the only problem is that I moved my heelguards out a bit to far and the I hit the top mount when starting, but it isn't all that big a deal.
