Looking at buying a 2000 blaster for super cheap, (200 bones) but the tard that is selling it used motor oil (royal purple 10-30 synthetic) insted of 2 stroke oil in the pre mix tank....The then ran it up the road till it died...Never messed with the 2 stokes my self but ive been arm deep in many 4 stoke bikes, what kind of problems is this thing going to have? I'm almost willing to buy it and part it but tires and plastics are like 40% so not worth much...Am i just looking at A NEW TOPEND OR A COMPLETE rebuild? Any help would be awesome thanks- Chase

Either the oil was to thick and didn't even make it to the carb, or it made it and just wouldn't burn as fast as normal oil and fouled the plug and clogged sh*t up. Either way the most your going to have to do is piston and cylinder bore. And clean out the carb and injection system.for 200 I'd buy it
yeah whats the worst that could happen? as long as he didnt shatter the piston it doesnt matter. you can get a stroker crank for about a buck 80 (if it even needs one), And a topend for about 80.
a top end rebuild will cost you around $100 to do yourself. a piston and gasket kit are probably all you need. a bore/hone is about another $50 if its needed.
just push som efresh 2-stroke oil through the injection pump and lines until youre sure the 10-30 is all out of there. i wouldnt hurt to convert it over to premix while you have it apart. theres a "how to" on this site for that. you can buy a premix block off kit for $30.
so for less than $200 you can rebuild the engine and block off the old oil injection kit and be back up and running in about a half a day.

Awesome Thanks Guys, I snatched it up last night. it has real bead lock wheels, one i noticed that it was worth 200 for the wheel spacers and rims..Ive got a problemn with my pit bike, a 01 blaster but ill put it in the correct location..If anyone might be able to help.
