why would you need to modify the fenders? what you need to do is get at a +4 swingarm o make it work. it will raise your blaster about 3 inches too. then just some washers and new bolts to hold it down. that what i did and it works GREATI:I
And you don't have to trim the air box for a 400ex shock you can just bend it a little bit so the ressi will fit.
the YFZ450 shock has the resavoir on the side so you dont have to bend or cut anything. it just fits right in. but you do need a +4 swinger
i just bought the shock and cut some off the lowering mounting bracket and drilled new holes. i also compressed the shock all the way down. so with cutting the bracket and drilling my new mounting holes, and compressing the shock it made the shock about 2" shorter.
thank you for the reply. if you by any chance in the next week or 2 have a camera near the quad and it isnt too much trouble for you stap a pic of the lower part you had to modify for me? i just won a yfz450 rear shock on ebay off a 2008 with 2 weekends of riding on it for $64 shipped. and will be attemtping to mount it in about 2 wks when the swingarm comes.
if i were to buy the yfz450 linkage would i still need to drill new holes?
Hey quick ? I have a kfx 400 rear I'm looking to mount. but I am waiting for cash for the swing arm I was going to get the +3 off ebay seems like alot of guys her use them and are satisfied. Any ways with the swing arm can I keep the shorty rear brake cable or should I buy a new stock length one or a longer one?
hey this thread had nothing to do with this, but if you already have an extended short cable that will work. if it is a stock length shorty cable it will not work.
No 92 links wont work. I used about 104 links for my +4 swing arm. I would just buy a 110 link chain then cut it down to fit. All you need is a grinder or something to grind the chain links down.
