So I have a 99' blaster and what the person who I bought it from tells me is the back brakes are hooked up to the foot brake but instead of the front brake on the bars, there's a cable that goes to the back brake as well that just doesn't have a lever. When using the back brakes(foot) I found they don't work very well at all. Any suggestions? Are blasters known for something in the brake wearing out? And could the cable really go to the back brakes too?

Thats the #1 problem with blasters. Rear brakes. They straight up suck. Give them a good cleaning and get a shorty brake cable. If that doesnt work, rebuild them or just toss them and get some hydraulic ones.

Yeah, blasters are notorious for sh*tty brakes!!

The front brakes have two cables going to them, one for the front brakes and one for the rear. When you pull the front brake lever normally, it only works the front brakes. If you push down that button on the lever, and then pull the lever, it will do both. The long cable sux though. There is a cable that you can get that will just make it so that the rear brakes are operated from the foot pedal.
