REALLY need someone with a keihin 34mm carb to help!!

ok still having problems with the jetting, this is what i have used so far i have gone with a 40 pilot 42, 48, 52, with a 152, 158, 148 main, clip on the 2nd notch to the top. now any ideas what i should be running?

here is the symptoms: it idles greal, hit the throttle, bogs, slowly give it gas, it will rev to about mid, then bogs out. as long as it is high revved it will take the hitting of the thumb throttle, now i high rev from neutral to first, thats the only way i can get it out of first, when i get out of first it still bogs but when it finally high revs it takes off like a rat on crack, then i go to second, it bogs again and won't take any throttle.

mods: full lrd exhaust(no gasket from cylinder) vf3's, 1/2" spacer 34mm keihin carb with a cfm airbox and k&n, kicks over and starts first kick.

i really need some help anyone that knows what is wrong, i am willing to try anything, don't want to take it to the shop. PLEASE HELP!

alright well im no expert but i have the same carb as you...first off id say it would be really helpfull if you could describe what the plug looked like...and if you were certain there is no air-leak, using good gas etc...but to me it sounds like your rich, bog right off idle is tell-tale rich on the pilot jet/air screw...try to get a look at that plug and let us know what you see

if it idles fine spray some carb cleaner alond and see if it revs

well heres the problem, i am trying to get an accurate reading by getting it rideable, but it is a new plug the tip is rich, i know that but i am down to a 40 pilot, with my upgrades it is reccomended a 40 and a 148 main, did both, nothing, bogs everywhere out of neutral, but yes i know it is running rich.

check ot see if your head gasket is leaking ,it will act rich whats your compression and have checked your squish clesrance out ,has it ever ran right in the past with these settings and mods

it just started doing it when everything was on, it ran perfect before i did the carb exhaust vf3's spacer alumi airbox, k&n, it was stock. comps is 140, it is leaking at exhaust flange at cylinder, premix gas 32:1, plug is rich i don't know where else to go with it but the shop, don't want to because i know i can get it, but i am out of ideas.

Well the carb should still function correctly.But I do agree way to big of carb for those mods unless you plan to get ported shortly.

well it was a piece of the choke assembly, it was missing, so choke was not disengaging, fixed good to go!

that will do it. the choke knob also controls the idle setup
