"any idea's to make a blaster faster is better then none"
Gotta a random as hell question to throw out, but what if you ran the blaster motor without a counter balancer? I know dirtbike motors do not have them, but what exactly would happen if i just took the gear off?
you will end up with a $850 repair bill like me
if i am mistaken, the clutch basket gear gets turned by the counter balancer which is ran by the crank?
Here's what I know (and it's not much). I spoke with two shops that balance cranks. Neither one of them need the balance shaft to balance the crank and both of them told me not to mess with it. I know of two members that removed the shaft and had major problems with vibration. The people in the know are going to be the guys that have tried this. I haven't. I'm sure the counterbalance shaft is making up for the unbalance of the crankshaft. If you assemble the bottom end and turn the crank over in the case without the counterbalance shaft hooked up, it doesn't turn smooth. If you do the same thing with the counterbalance shaft, the same thing happens. When you connect the two together, the rotating mass becomes smooth and balanced. I'm sure some material can be removed but I can't tell you how much is going to be too much.
