Quadracer 250?

dont get one pre 87-92 if you get a 85-86 they dont have powervalves and they would both beat blasters but the 85-86 would be closethey also only have 5 gears unlike the 87-92 they have 6 and this version should go around 72 mph stock and the 95-96 is like 62-64 mph, the powervalved ones will stay with the trx250rs onthe track it would be real close dont let other people asy the trx is better that is all opinion and what people here so that makes them thank that but it isnt true it is all personal opinon

and 87 is a mix between both and 91-92 have a different linkage in the rear suspension, similar to an ltz400.

ya they do look nice im not a big fan of the front fenders but they can be cut.. only reason i want one is the trx cost way to much and seems over rated and the tekate is so hard to find around here.. they are cheap and somebody said on here they are faster than the trx

yes in top speed but who is going to go 72 on a track but the trx doesnt have powervaleve that is why and the LT has better take off than the trx or the tecate

oh serious they dont have powervalves wow i need to do some research on them.. im deffinetly getting a quadracer 250.. ill have to sell the blaster but that is a small price to pay for a quadracer

When you go to look at a quadracer, check the upper shock mounts and the aluminum swingarm for cracks. Those are two weak spots on the quadracers.
The 87-92 quadracers are faster then the trx, but the trx handles and brakes better then the quadracer. Aftermarket parts and stock parts are also more abundant and cheaper for the trx.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

stock for stock the LT woud beat the trx. but the TRX has much more abundant aftermarket parts. LT's are nice, that 92 is way to expensive, and the 87 is an ok price. 87 was the best year for the LT (IMO) the cylinder was different than all other years. probly the fastest year for the LT also. idk if they handled as good as the TRX, but if you watch old school vids of mx racing, there were a few in there. mostly TRX's tho. i was told at one point that LT's had water pump issues sometimes. (that goes for 250 and 500) if your gonna buy an LT250r, get 87-92. better suspension, powervalved engines.

also, get rid of the stock swinger. they are big, bulky, and a pain in the ass. buy a round carrier swingarm. they are much nicer, and easier to work on. plus it may even be lighter.

good luck with the search

ok great info 254 and rockstar that really helps rep +.. im thinking about that 87 lt it has a cracked swingarm thats been welded and bad carrier bearings but i wanted a project quad and this might be the one.. are the frames steel? and on the upper shock mounts is it braceable so that wont happen?

yeah, there steel and I've seen guys reinforce the upper shock mount area. I've only seen them crack under mx conditions so you maybe alright if your using for trails

if i do get one it will be a flat track quad no trails and maybe mx ocasinally.. but 245 did you see that 87 i posted up on page 1 what do you think about that one?
