doesnt a sheared wood ruff key cause this problem. im pretty sure it does

yea im pretty sure this is what causes it if I can remember right someone actually posted a video before this one of a blaster actually running backwards and it stirred up some conversation and like I said if I can remember right this is what they said causes it something to do with a sheared woodruff key

Yes exzactly!!!!! How do you kick a two stroke backwards? A sheared woodruff key will cause a "blasty" to run in reverse but like sh*t... The stator basically reverses the timing on the piston when the woodruff key is sheared.... I would bet a 4 stroke or anything could be made to run reverse if the timing was screwed where it fired at the wrong time.. !

I think there is some confuision here with what some of these other guys are thinking above us what they are saying from that blaster video I saw it wasent the actual kickstart being kicked backwards but the machine was being started when the small drive gear was being turned in the reverse direction

my old blaster had a worn out woodruff key, it would sometimes run in reverse. you kick it normally, just depends on the posistion of the crank when starting. i could ride all 6 gears in reverse, kill it, then start it back up forwards. wierdest thing. but it can happen. i changed the key, it was back to normal......when the key is worn or sheared the flywheel can turn freely on the crank. the stator still works....

Yes they can run in reverse and is more common than we think.Almost always has to do with the woodruff as rockstar stated.Still funny to watch.

try push-starting your blaster backwards... see what happens ?

I can bump my moped -Derbi Senda 50. Backwards but as soon as it fires up i have to pull in the clutch or otherwise it will cut out,But it does still go fowards NOT backwards

Crazy. I've never even thought of that. Guess inever really cared about reverse lol. But that is pretty funny. I'd just think it b hard on the tranny. Lol
