Problem

Electrical problem. I finally got the blaster out of the shop today and went to ride it. It runs like a champ except for one thing, when i flip the light switch from OFF to either LOW or HI, it acts like a kill switch. Like, it wont turn the lights on, it will kill the motor. Anybody have this problem?

check the wires and make sure they are hooked up right

nah it shouldnt i would just check it out prolly just need to swap a few wires around

yea sounds like ur wires are backwards

yeah, what you've done is connected the cable coming from the headlight, (black) to a black and white cable instead of a solid black (earth), the black and white is a kill switch so when this is earthed the quad dies. so basically your earthing the black white whenever you turn the light on.

running it like this won't do it any harm what so ever

I had this same problem with my blaster and I ran it for around a year til I blew the motor. When I blew the the motor I took a couple days and tracked all the wires under the front plastic and discovered that the headlights and the kill switch were wired together. Hope this helps.
