Pro circuit needs repacking?

steel wool is a cheap alternitive packing. it doesn't rust out or get saturated. I personally use the fiberglass batting that is made for packing silencers. the steel wool is louder than the real packing matterial

I used #0000 Fine steel wool And Pulled it apart some before I packed it inside the Silencer , It has been said that It makes it louder than the Fiberglass packing , But is Much cheaper !

I've heard it Sounds different the way you pack it , The tighter the Packing the Louder it is , The less packing makes it Quieter from what I've heard

just use what is suggested to repack the silencer, real packing !
not some hillbilly, redneck, found it in the shed, it sounds better, cheap azz nonsense.
i have also heard steel wool can get sucked back into your cylinder during the scavenging phase of the exhuast...is that a chance your willing to take for a measly $10 ?????

Yea, what I use is for automotive exhaust systems. Do like what awk says and never use anything but what the manufacturer suggest, preferable only OEM Yamaha or after market manufacturer name brand stuff. Remember the dealership is your friend.

Dang, how lean are you running that thing? Pink (white at Lowes) residential insulation is rated for 1000 degree's F.

i should have tried the pink panther brand then, the yellow stuff melted...i swear, LOL
