idk this is Canada so stuff is a little more exspensive...but it looks pretty clean

but why would a kick start gear strip ?? is it something bigger?

I'd say there is a bigger problem, if you look in the third pic the clutch cover is all welded together so something likely blew apart in there and he tried to weld it together. And $700 is to high, cause I got mine in better condition then that for only $400 with ownership. If you could get him to take the clutch cover off and let you have a look you could see what's if it's just the kick starter or more that's bad.

yeah there is ALOT of crap slopped on that cover. i wouldnt do it, too much money and his wording sounds sketchy to me.
