pre mix questions...

Okay, im litterally about to switch my blaster to pre mixing right now but first i have a few questions...

1. should the plastic cover have a gasket? if so mine doesnt, does it still need it since im pre mixing?

2. the pump gasket.. do i need to replace it since once again ill be pre mixing?

3. only changes to it are Skimmed head and fresco slip on exhaust... what should I premix at?

there shouldn't be a gasket on that cover, you can just leave the pump in there unless you have a block off kit (remember to take the plastic gear out and to plug that nipple on the side of the carb), and just mix 32:1 with a good brand of pre-mix oil, klotz, maxima, etc...

JonS nailed it. if you like you can remove the white plastic gear behind the clutch cover to disarm the pump, no harm in leaving it as is tho.

ok thanks guys, ive got the pump apart and took the gear out, but i cant seem to get it all to fit back together,, is it okay if i take everything out of the pump so its just hollow?

its all back together, just to check i did this stage right.. ive taken out the little black gear cog and the big washer that sits against it, is that right?

you can't leave that pump hole empty. you need to at least put the pump back in to seal it up. take the white gear off and there shouldn't be anything, but the shaft left. won't hurt a thing.

The gear in mine was black :S but i got it back together anyway
