looks clean but its an 89 no doubt youre going to have reliability issues with it
id try and get something in the 00's

Why would you say that, the blaster never changed from its first year to its last year involving the powertrain.

Did your wife say she wanted to move over to a blaster? Those trailboss's make great quads for women, especially on long rides. Im trying to get my girl something along the lines of a trailboss actually, she gets whooped after a couple of hours on the blaster clutchin and all.

im guessing my the comdition its in its been very well taken care of... if i get it for her im swiping the shock covers for mine :)
and gettin a confederate seat cover for it and mine, she knows how to ride mine, just gonna take here a lil bit to get used to the power diff, the blaster is a smaller motor but much faster than hers.. hers will mph with the blaster but the accel just isnt there, thought about doing the spring mod to her cvt clutch ( trail blazer 400 or scrasmbler 500 cultch springs) will help with the off the line doggyness... im sure she would like it , i ran it by her the other day and she didnt say no. aint the 89s a 5 speed though??

no there a 6 speed, and to the guy who said reliability is an issue. my bike is a 89 and as of right now still on the stock piston. its all about how you take care of it.

ok wernt the early ones a 5 speed??? and exactly.. point in case, guy i know threw a friend .. 21? years on original piston and rings in a 250r... take care of it warm it up right and use good oil!!

guy said its never given him any probs and allways been reliable

^exactly^ Every now and again youll find an '03 or even newer blaster that has already been rebuilt and has had to have a bunch of repairs done to it because it was ridden hard or it wasn't taken care of and then youll find 80 something 4wheelers that still run like a champ

case in point.. my 85 200x and 84 250r.. both on original top end... 200x smoked a lil bit when rode hard but thats about it

mines an 89 but theres no telling how many times its been gone thru. Its got 6 gears innit.

I have an original 1982 honda185s trike that is dead mint and it dosent smoke or use any oil. Starts 1st pull. Engine has never been touched except for the oil change. Its a 4 stroke and if you take care of them they will last forever. 27 years on the same old crusty engine gaskets. Not a drop of rust in the gas tank. I put new tires on it after this pic was taken last summer.
