possible trade

yea drifttz the valves gotta be checked and sh*t. my dad is to lazy to do that.
and its to costly to have it done

its not actually that hard to do man ,
this guys s real good same on your bike as a yfz all you do to do the clearences is swap out lil metal washer type things called shims .he has good tutorials on it...the clearences might not be the same as a yfz though but just check in the manual YouTube - ‪Tooextrememx's Channel‬‏

no just the valve cover and cams its pretty easy just take your time i tought i would fugg up but did it in my yfz and z400 actually enjoy doing it

Lol yea i wish i could. my dad wont let me do anything cause he thinks i wont put it back together right or not do it right. but then on the other hand he wont do it.

is this why my bike is starting hard it takes like 5 kicks kold to start and about 25 when hot with hotstart.

yup thats your shims right there^^ only cost like 3bux each and theres only 4 on yzf's ! (4valve engine right? ) but seriously it wont hurt to try.you will just damage your valves if you dont shim it all you need is a torque wrench and feeler gauges and some sort of magnet ....seriously bro just try it ! and if you do make a mistake (which you shouldn't if you take your time) then bring it to the shop its still gonna be cheaper then re-doing a top end fully

motors i have feared to take apart. till i watched my dad help me take mine apart.. your dad is 65? Well he has prob alot of time on his hands. So why dont you and him both sit down and figure it out? So he can say its put back togeather and your motor is happy. Simple

you find tdc by taking out the plugs by the flywheel. you look for the mark in the window by turning it over. or in that thread they show you the dots on the cam gears or the lobes turned outward

Well look at this those super seamless can run about a minimum of 300 bucks but will the little tread they have there not worth that. What's all been modded on is besides the lift? Any motor mods?

tdc is when your piston is at top dead center ,up as high as it can go ...... see the two vlue caps on the case that have are allen to use em' well the top one is where you look and you rotate the crack through the bottom one with a ratchet (17mm) and threw the smaller one a thing spins theres a marking on it and when you get to the marking stop rotating the crank and then your at tdc
