i was riding my blaster and i pulled in the clutch and put it in nutral and it started idling alot higher than normal any ideas

A high idle usually points to an air leak ... Although that is not always the case. My blaster use to do the same thing, so I leak tested it and it turned out that there were no leaks. I then adjusted the idle screw as well as the air mixture screw until I found a good balance between the two and no more high revs/idle. Good to hear your not taking any chances, leak test first to confirm whether there is an air leak or not then go from there !

High temp Copper RTV, tension up the bolts evenly, diagonally and incrementally to 5.8 ft lbs taking care not to warp the cage.

Do not guess the tension as sure as eggs are eggs the cage will warp and leak.

Luckily that's an easy fix/seal ... I would suggest using new gaskets as well, if not just put a LITTLE more rtv on there, torque to spec, let it dry fully and you should be good to go ! And again its good to hear your taking care of the problem rather than taking your chances. That's what having to do a rebuild will do to you haha, no taking chances or second guessing ... That's how I learned anyway !
