porting my 240

So i got some upgrades on my engine for some time, 240 L.A. kit, keihin 38mm pwk, 3mm crank, along with new engine bearings, seals etc ... runing 14 / 38 gears

Now i would like to get it ported but... since i live in the azores, shipping alone is more expansive then porting. Shipping is around $200 (Azores-USA-Azores) Porting $150...

You guys think or know those it really makes that much diference ? I know its better but $350 better?

Btw for porting only need to send the head and jug ($200 shipping) ? or full engine ? ( have no freaking idea how much )

Whats the diference betewen porting, and ported and matched ?

If you have the money I would definetly do it, everything I heard is that its better to have a ported motor on stock bore than a 240 on a none ported motor. There is a sticky in the engine section about polishing up the ports on the blaster I would at least look into that it is a DIY thread from a motor builder on this sight and he knows his sh*t.

well worth every penny!!! matched they match the cylinder to the case for better flow. porting the change the shape and size of the cylinder ports

Just getting the ports matched for the stroker crank would be a huge upgrade in itself!

do it!! ive got both case port matching and a stroker adjusted trail port and couldnt be happier with it I:I add a BBK in and whoa boy, better hold on lol

Watch Ken OConnor Racing video on porting. It's on this site and it makes a big difference. I dont think you can do the exhaust port like the vid because of your stroker crank but you can do the rest. PM Ken and ask about the exhaust port timing for your stroker. You do the work, it's simple.

porting for a 3mill is nothing like the port for a stock stroke

Just need to now all the parts i need to shipp to find out the total weight, then i just have to stop by the post office and ask how much it is
