I have just changed the head gasket after some advice from members on the forum. My blaster was leaking an oily mixture from the head gasket area and I was told the faulty head gasket may be the reason my machine started having trouble idling. After changing the gasket the engine no longer leaks from that area but still dies after idling for about 15 seconds. I also wanted to mention it will just cut out sometimes if im in a higher gear and slow down quickly and downshift. Any help on what this might be and how to improve my idle? Thanks alot.

Check for any other air leaks, make sure you are getting fuel, play around with the air/fuel screw. thats all i can think of at the moment

have you cleaned your pilot jet lately? is your tors still hooked up? and first thing is did you try turning the idle up on the tors unit?

the tors is removed. which screw on the carb will adjust the idle the bigger flat head one or the smaller one that seems to be more flush with the surface of the carb. Aside from the idle problem the blaster is running great, should the idle not really concern me too much?
