I just wanted some opinions on the color of my plug chop, I think it might be a little rich now with the 270 main I have in my stock mikuni carb.
The picture is from my plug chop when I had a 260 in. It almost looked a little light/faded like there's not enough color on there, but I've also heard you want a light brown with almost no color. It's hard to believe I'd be running rich with my mods and only a 260-270, let me know what you guys think !

The ring should be a Biscuit or cardboard colour.

Heres one posted by Awk a while ago, this is a good to go plug.

This one is a little rich, but I would run it, I like to be on the safe side.

How does it run with the #270.

I choose to run a little rich, the little amount of power you loose, is more than paid for by peace of mind that the piston will not cook.

It runs pretty good, I just tuned the idle and air screw. I went from 1 1/2 to almost 2 turns out on the air screw and it runs a little better then before with great response but now it takes a couple kicks to get started now and it ALWAYS use to start in 1 kick which le ads me to believe I might be a little too rich now. That pic I posted was with the 260 main, what do you think of the color in your opinion ?
