Been doing some research and decided to chop my plug.. anywho.. see what you 2 stroke guys think..New to tuning these things ... good ,bad, or ugly?

i dont think you did it right.. you are looking for a ring that appears on the porcelin. you need a brand new plug when you do it. get the machine warmed up, pop a brand new plug in take it up the road and at a good pace turn around and get it screaming in 6th pull your clutch and shut the machine off. coast to a stop, THEN check the plug.

for a plug chop, that plug looked burnt.
but for a used plug, it looks fine.

Its got a 240 kit. with a 35mm carb, CF reeds boysen reed cage, bills racing exhaust, weisco forged piston, ported, thats all i can think of right now. the guy said it only had a 240 kit thats all he knew until i started finding more parts on it lol

is it rejetted? and i bet that it doesn't have a 240 kit. its probably bored .0040 over

i would say you want to get it a little more brown like a cardboard box color but it looks ok. just make sure in the 2nd pic its not grey or white!

To do a real plug chop you need a new plug but an aged plug can tell you a lot too.

It's chocolate brown colored which is about right. No spalling white porcelain and no black stain down there anywhere. With a proper plug chop to confirm I'd say your jetting is about right.
