Please Help!

I installed a 280 jet.
now it runs, but it bogs, if I turn mixture screw out a half a turn from closed position, it idles good, if I turn out to 1 and 1/2 it bogs and wont idle, thats w/ rear air tube removed from carb, did this when adjusting cable, kept eye on piston so I wasn't using the cable for an idle adjustment.
Going to go to a 270 jet, figure im right there,
no air leaks present, used carb clean and the WD40 method, no change in idle at all.

You have to do your adjusting with the air tube and airfilter in place.

ok this is getting stupid, sorry but im frustrated, I removed again and placed the 250 jet in place, my float is at spec. it runs great if the choke is pulled out, idles has acceleration, WT#! push choke in and its like it closes shut!!! gotta feather it...
I've blown compressed air (not FULL) through every orifice, all clear,
but like I said this sat out side next to a shed no cover, through 2 winters and everything else chicago threw at it, till I said enough! im going next store an seeing if they want to sell, an walla! it ran pretty well after I cleaned out the tank and rebuilt carb, then the power adders happen.................
I have a bit of time to screw around w/ the weather here is windy, cold, and talking freezing rain/snow... so I have time...
thanks all again for the suggestions.

have you done a compression check on it? it kinda sounds like it has low compression, or you still have an air leak because when you have it choked its cutting off some air flow thus richining the air/fuel mixture

my idle circuit was a little corroded, I removed the sleeve the needle goes through, It has 5 tiny holes on both sides (was filthy, corroded) what I did not remove when rebuilt, didn't think u could... my bad... well now it idles sort of for about 10 sec. before it wants to die... w/ the mixture screw out 3/4 to 1 turn I can turn in 1/4 turn more, but the idle seems take a bit to come down, which would give a sign of being lean?
now does this oil injection seem to pump to much oil into carb? messing w/ the mix? seems to pool real nice in the carb?

if working right it mixes at 30:1, wich is a little rich, if you want to remove it theres a diy on it basically you can just cut the hoses and plug the one coming from the carb
