So I bought a quad late summer... a 1991 blaster... started and ran great and immediately took it out riding...clutch was shot so I replaced it... second riding day the throttle got stuck wide open and i immediately killed the engine. I let it cool down a bit. Started up, but the low to mid range was bogging... had to keep it revving for it to run.. got it back to the trailer... ever since it has not been running right. It dies in the low range, bogs in the mid range and is fine in the higher rpms... Tried a few times to adjust the air/fuel screw that didnt work...Put a smaller jet in and that didn't work... Tors was still there, but not hooked up electronically, installed motion pro eliminator and idle kit screw kit correctly... After I put the eliminator on it turned over a couple times but I was still having that similar mid range bog...Tried to warm it up to adjust everything but ran outta time...Went back out to the shed today to kick it over and she won't start at all. Inspected spark plug: black and wet, bought a new one. I AM GUESSING THIS ENGINE IS GETTING TOO MUCH GAS. Plug does spark. Tried kicking over with new plug and still nothing. Reeds are not broke. I took off the carb and the plug and I am letting it air dry over night. I am a machinist and pretty mechanically inclined however this is really stumping me... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!:-/
