My blaster had been painted 3 times over the stock blue plastic , eventually i want to get new plastics m but thats down the road . What do you guys suggest to strip the rattlecan crap off the plastics ? I heard Krylon fusion is the paint to use , it currently has black paint all over it , under that is yellow , under that is a white almost kinda primerish coating then the blue plastics. If I sand it , krylon it , then sand between coats , anyone think that will at least look good?

get some type of stripper or acetone and get all the old paint off work your way from coarse to a very fine grit sand paper then use some krylon fusion

i tryed the krylon paint on my hood and it worked really well. supposedly you don't have to do any sanding, but i did anyways with steel wool just to get some of the scratches out. i wouldn't suggest using the blue color, i picked out the darkest blue, and it's still really light. it's almost closer to a baby blue then the yamaha blue.

after all the work just to get the old paint off, I think youd be better off just lookin for some used cheap plastics that havent been painted yet. even tho that rattle can stuff chips off easy, when you want it to come off is when your gonna have the most trouble

ps. i tried it

if you find the right deals, you can get some used ones...for reallllllll cheap prolly a little more than you'd spend on prep cleaners, paint, primer, steel wool and sandpaper....craigslist is awesome place when you need things like this, find someone parting one out that dont know much

I use arosol stripper and either a powerwasher or a shop vac to remove paint off plastic.
It's a PITA.
