Pipe and different silencer

silencers play a huge part in the power youir pipe makes..unreal..i never believed it..a few years ago i tried to run a paul turnrer hi rev pipe with a fmf silencer on my lt250r..it sucked..i got the fatboy silencer and man it killed the fmf....
silencers are designed with a certain core size and core length are are tuned to work woth certain pipes....please for max power run the correct silencer!!!

Pipes should only be affected by a silencer IF the core is smaller in diameter than the outlet of the pipe- there would be no difference between an open pipe and a silenced pipe with a core larger than the pipe outlet as your not restricting the flow any

I wouldn't argue that mixing and matching pipes/silencers would give you varied resutls (sometimes more than others) but I run an FMF pipe and put the stock silencer on for a little less noise, and the power difference, to me, is not noticeable.

Run what you can afford to run!! With FMF/pro circuit, I doubt you'd see as much of a difference as running a different silencer on a LT250r. Especially when you're talking specialized paul turner with a non-specialized fmf silencer. I wouldnt' expect to see much of a difference with your run of the mill blaster fmf/pro circuit.
