just a little note about paypal i've been meaning to share with those who dont know, but when sending $$$ thru paypal on here, after you enter the "to" and "from" email addresses, there is a tab below that says "personal", and if you click that tab, and check the box that says "money owed" or "gift", then there is no paypal fee for that transaction, not that they take alot, like a few months ago i sold sumthin for like $20, and paypal took 88 cents, because the guy marked that it was "for goods", instead of marking it for "personal" reasons", <<<which is free, now that doesnt sound like alot, but if we do numerous sales on here then it will start adding up, and if it's as simple as checking a different purpose, then lets all not just give paypal money that we dont have to, every dollar counts these days!!!

Sonofa ! ! We must have spent $50 in paypal fees on REED's part out.. thanks for the info.... for the 1st time in a loong time... giving rep.

can i add a tip?

If your shipping from US to canada or vice versa, Mark as a gift and put a lower dollar amount for whats its worth. when i bought my bb kit, i got it for 350 but got charged 110 dollars in "brokerage" bullshit charges and duty charges. so be aware, you may not hear it from the guy, he may just have a heart attack and not tell you how much you cost him, so just try and help others out.

Also. UPS is gay.

together we can all figure out how to beat the system, i was hesitant to start this thread, but glad i did now

hey 89, when did you become so polite, to ask if you can add a tip, you usually just speak your piece, haha, but good info for our northern bro's

ya i always tried to check the "personal box," and i noticed it never charged me, but when somone put money into my account, they must have put " for goods" because i got charged 4 dollars for the 120 that was put in. no biggie, but it does add up.

One downfall.......if you need to file a claim for an item not recieved. Just make sure you know and trust the person. If your sending money to someone you dont know dont take the chance to save the few bucks.

Actually i appologize for my previous comment. I dont really have any knoweledge on paypal i just know that nothing is free and would find it hard to believe that if this was true everyone would put 'personal' down and western union and paypal would both fail

yeah i only deal with peeps on here that i know and trust, and i just bought works shocks lower bushings from timsyfz for $22, ask him how much he received from me if the "send it for free as a personal or gift" is bullshit, i'll bet his answer is $22, not 21, not 20, not 19.95, but $22, the way they get their money on these deals is if you transfer it from paypal to a bank account, so no that wont put western union or paypal out of business, go to paypal and do some homework, or better yet i'll send ya $5, and then you send it back and we'll see if i get the whole $5 back,
