I have an 06 blaster and i want to remove the parking brake, but they dont make a shorty cable for it. What do i have to do to remove it and what do i have to buy besides the cover plate. If anyone did this please post a video
Thanks,

cover plate, take the parking brake cable off, unplug/remove the sensor, job over

sit back and enjoy a beverage

on the handlebars i believe, someone else may have to chime in on that, check for a plug by the hand brake or clutch whichever has the parking brake

i believe its the clutch lever on the 06's, that has the park brake and switch

Yep, parking brake cable goes to clutch lever perch, and built in to that assy you will find a switch with two wires (Separate from on/off, light switch). Unplug it and you are good as gold, forget to do this and you will be sorry.

Nice price on a block off plate, this is the one I got, cheapest on ebay and a damn nice part w/ bolts and built-in o-ring. They have several colors if you ask, BLASTER 200 YFS 200 YFS200 PARKING BRAKE BLOCK OFF S: eBay Motors (item 170482234500 end time Nov-01-10 09:15:07 PDT)

If you want to look at others, search ebay for "Blaster block off" and you get about 40 or so. This is the only part needed and strickly speaking you could live without it, but it looks a lot cleaner.
