Alright my rebuild is about to begin in another month and a half, so im stocking up on supplies..
The frame is going to be done with spray cans.. Ya i know spray cans suck but it will be a million times better than it is now..
For somebody thats done it should i prime the frame before paint? Does it make that much difference?
Also about how many cans do i need to buy to do just the frame including primer cans and color cans?
Thanks in advance....

Primer works great and helps provide a good base. You should need 1-2 cans of primer, 2-3 cans of paint and a can of clear. Don't use valspar paint from lows... its even crappier then krylon, but I have had really good luck with rustoleum. Also make sure the frame is super clean before you paint, you don't want any grease or dirt.

^^^^ You'll be right in the neighborhood with his #s. I used more but I put a lot of coats of each on..

i used about 3 cans to do all the green on mine an blasterdude27 is right clean it an when you think its clean wash it again the paint will look horible if is put down on a dirty surface

Ya its getting sand blasted and wet sanded... In the past 20 years since this particular bike was made the bike had been painted like ten times without taking apart or even washing the mud off. I managed to do alot of work already but now its time to tackle the frame.. Will make some good before and after shots with the nasty frame.
