Over seas shipping.

I had a guy contact me through ebay for the KDX. He asked for a quote to ship to Italy.

I looked online and got a quote for $1950.00.

I am leary about overseas shipping. However as long as the transaction is through EBay I should be protected.

Any thoughts?

Be leary about shipping a complete bike over seas. And if he is trying to do anything outside of ebay, shy away completely. Unless you get a payment in full and clears along with shipping I wouldn't do business.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. so far it is all through ebay. I'm just going to decline.

My thoughts are that if its through ebay, and paypal, and the money clears BEFORE you ship the bike. Then your all good. I have never shipped an entire bike though haha.

when selling on craigslist that 2012 ninja 250 my girl won , i had numerous emails offering to buy it sight unseen, they all used the " i'm with the US navy, and leaving for duty in the morning" will pay for it, even offering $500 extra, and arrange for a freight company to pick it up.
i was getting numerous emails with the same story daily, not sure how they're doing it, but it's definately some kind of scam.

as for ebay, limit the buyers to.... good feedback, established ebayers, US only, paypal verified, only.
if any of those are lacking, pass on the sale
