i know its probably gonna look pretty gay but i've been thinking of getting one of these to strap extra gas and a camera bag to. would like some opinions on this.

also if any of you that are into photography can give me some pointers on how to saftly take a canon 20d and a couple lenses with me on the blaster i'd love to hear about that too

i'd really like to take the camera out with me for some of the longer more relaxed rides because there are some great photo oportunity's around where ill be riding like old train bridges and train tunnels, wildlife (if i get out there and get parked and sprayed fast enough) plus get some pics of other riders showing off lol

thanks man. im dying to take it for a ride. bought it used and abused a month ago, and me and a buddy stripped it down to check everything out on it after i found the forum and blew 1200-1300 on it replacing everything that is wearing or broke and buying aftermarket performance parts to replace the stock when possible. should be a running machine in about 2 weeks. gonna take a week or so to get the rest of the parts and then a couple more days to tune, jet and work out all the kinks. i started a thread to keep track of everything start to finish and started THIS gallery to keep and show pics from start to finish

lol pressure washer, sand blaster, gas, for most of the clean up but the engine was mostly gas, brush, and rag. i wish i could honestly say it came that clean but it didnt lol cleaned up really nice but we had to paint it with the shiny metal paint/poor man chrome, that he used under the red. the cylinder and head were painted using high temp black for grills and stuff

my brother is a photographer and he has this backpack type deal that he puts his nikon d300 in.
that works good.
if i were to get one of those racks your talking about it would be to carry a case of beer

yea i have a backpack also but gonna need to carry gas too

wouldnt the beer get all shook up lol?

this is gonna push me to get that damn oversized tank lol i'd definatly get one if they werent so ugly or i could fit my tank cover over it. they only come in 2 colors that i've seen, white and clean. neither would look right on my blaster thats all red and black

just take un backpack with you. it serves for many more purposes then i camera, ive found it seems to be a big help wrap the camera in a small blanket or just make sure its packed tight so it wont bounce around too much.

Took a look at the pictures of you blaster when you first go it. Looked pretty tore back. You did a great job on the restore though.

If you asked me, I would say don't bring a really nice expensive camera riding!! Bring a cheap (relatively) digital....they can take great pics, and if you destroy it, it's only a digital camera!! I bring my canon A560 everywhere I go in my pocket. Throw it in a backpack for riding, in a protective case too...
I definitely wouldn't trust a nice expensive camera on a rack!! Unless maybe you had it inside a pelican case...then I wouldn't worry about it!!

It's a tough situation. Blasters really have no extra room for cargo.

gonna use a backpack or holster when i do. still a lil uncomfortable with the idea tho. hoping to find a cheap used canon xti or 10d as a backup with a entry level zoom lens that way if i do mess it up ill only be out $400 instead of $2500

sry this is off topic but i found 89customs blasty on ebay yyyyy its so nice y would udo that sry sry sry 89 my bad it looks exactly like urs guess its not haha i didnt think ud do that

tips on bringing your cannon.... 1.)DONT lol and if you do just ride easy 2.) put camera in a case ( if yo spend more than 500 on a camera you better go ahead and get a case with it) 3.) wrap the case in a small-medium sized towel. and 4th store in a backpack not a rear rack.. the gas can goes there. and 5th. dont buy a second blaster tank... just go to an autozone, auto parts, etc. store and buy those 2 gallon cans.. they are like $10 and you can get 2-3 ( if you can find bigger get it cuz the 2 gallon SUCK!!!) after that safe riding and good shootin.
