Opinions on OKO 30mm flatside?

/\/\/\/\ thats a good deal there, even though i said i wouldnt cheap out on a carb, thats just too good to pass up

like i said i never had any problems with it and i was told by a local that races and uses these exact carbs is that its a knock off from the keihen but when they designed apparentlly they unintentially made the fuel passege a little larger than in the keihens whitch helps somehow. i dont see how this helps because it all goes through the jet anyway.

Oh yeah, for future reference: the stock cable won't work with aftermarket carbs. It says it right in the literature and I'm guessing they're right because of the TORS box and all... The motion pro cable for TORS delete works flawlessly with this carb (and I'm assuming most aftermarket carbs). I was also worried about the thumb throttle not being able to open the slide all the way. I've heard that's a problem with the 35's but with a little careful tuning of the cable length the 30mm will fully open with the stock thumb throttle and TORS delete cable.

Hey man, you better jump on that carb. It's a nice upgrade for a mild blaster and you're not gonna find it any cheaper than that.

the only other thing you will need is the right size jet and so your probobly going to have to buy some jets and try them untill your plug chops look good. it uses keihen jets. ill send you ones to start with but your going to need to get other sizes in case it needs another size. any cable with tors delete should work.

Wow not sure how i missed this thread!! But I like my 30 OKO other than the chrome peeling it has been good to me. Now jetting i was lean on the pilot i had to go up 2 sizes and as it sits right now I have a 165 main, 62 pilot and my needle is a N80F third clip. I tried all clip positions. Now that I have a new slide and know what to look for and what a good sounding running motor is I will have no issues with jetting, but yes I was lean on the pilot jet for probably 2 months along with multiple problems like loose reed cage, surging at 1/2 throttle, (needle position) and surging at idle (pilot to lean), I also am going to run a BR9 plug, I'll let ya know how this all works when I get my motor back in and broke in properly. - Bob

This is a really old thread, Slick has not been officially seem on BF for a while.

The new OKO carbs have been known to be a pain in the proverbial!
