TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY MY BLASTER ONLY HAS 1ST through 3rd gear, just kinda happen out the blue one day when riding,if anyone know what it could be and how to fix it????they would be a lot of help, could it be clutch, trans, and what would make this happen??? :-/:(X(

i'd give the shift star and that spring loaded detent wheel a good look first.
my buddies was giving him troubles and we swapped those parts out before tearing into splitting the cases, even though i could not see any visible differences, the parts out of our spare bottom end cured his shifting problems

you mean on the inside of the oil cover?

it is located inside the transmission. you have to split the cases to get to it. but you can get to the shift star behind the clutch cover. the shift star is attached to the head of the shift drum. I would assume you have a screwed up shift fork or your shift star is loose on the shift drum. if you pull the clutch cover it is in the bottom left hand corner of the motor. can't miss it. looks like a star

ok ill pull it apart tomorrow and see whats going on

Those shift drums or barrels with the star wheels on them like to break under the star wheel. I had 3 break on me. They will shift the trans but only so far b/c there is so much play in the wheel that its just moving past the broken part. IIRC, its only aluminum.
