i have a 2005 blaster and when i fire it up and try to rev it it boggs down
ive called about every place here in jax tryin to figure it out here are some answers i got

-carb
-top end
-bottem end
ect...

does anyone know whats goin on??

pull the head off...see what it looks like underneath it all...an if its all good then you have a problem with your carb...clean it

I have this problem occasionally too. I'll start it up and try to rev it, and it boggs down bad. I either have to let it die or start it again before it will start acting normal. After that it's fine though, runs great, pulls hard, rides completely normal. I never looked into it far enough to figure out what it was though, so I'm interested in finding out as well. By the way, mine's an '06 if it makes a difference.

^^^adjust your idle screw???^^^

Yeah, I don't know. It's worth a shot, but I will clean the carb this weekend while I have it apart to re-jet. I'd rather start with the minor stuff before deciding it needs a top end or something. It really shouldn't need a rebuild though, I've only had it two months and it came from a dealer where I know they serviced it. :-/

also there is a small knocking noise and a burning noise that i forgot to mention

I definitly don't have that problem, just sometimes boggy upon start up. Describe this "burning noise" though. I've never heard of anything like that, but then again I don't know what a burning noise sounds like... lol

i ment a burning smell excuse me but 3 days after i bought it, it did this and the smell is hard to describe but my neighbor thinks its a wrist pin knocking

lol No worries man, I was just playing with ya. I will let the more experienced guys chime in on this one because I have no clue. lol

im almost positive its the TORS system. theres a sensor in your clutch and theres another somewhere else i believe. Does it start fine, idle fine just as soon as you give it gas it falls on its face?

yeah sounds like tors to me, and isnt there some kinda parking brake sh*t on the newer ones that fouls up sometimes????, and the weird burning smell could be a crank seal suckin tranny oil, check your oil level, has it been goin down???

dude you need to knock some of the variables out of the loop, sounds like ur topend is sh*t, but first:

is it burning oil?
check compression 110-125 is good(my opinion)
check reeds-cracks play in the petal etc
check carb-tors removed? good fuel flow? u might need to rebuild the carb, good idea to do anyways since its used and u don't know what he/she has done to it.
your choke has a little grommet in the assembly, could be bad which is not letting the choke disengage.
do this and then repost.
