last night, i tried to replace the oil drain screw with a new one i bought from Bikebandit, and when i was putting the new one in, it didnt tighten all the way, so i took it out and took a look inside, turns out that the threads on the engine case are chipped...i know they sell these little bushings that you put on the threads to fix the problem, but i dont know if they will hold with all of the engine vibrations and jumps...any suggestions?

im thinking heley coil..

The only way to go.IMO There just a insert that goes in and makes new threads.RMATV sells them.Take a look. They might call them thread inserts or thread repair or something on that lines.Should be able to get them at an automotive store also.

You could get a different (bigger) drain plug, find the right tap size to match and retap the hole, and then dont tighten it so hard next time.

They sell oversized drain plugs at most auto parts stores. Just take the stock one in and they can measure it up. My bro used one in his R6 and did a track day with it no prob. If it can stay in the bike it can stay in the quad.
