I just rebuild the top end of my blaster motor. Granted this is my first blaster but not my first bottom end rebuild. I had to split the cases and to get all the pieces from the old piston out. Everything came apart just fine and went back together. I also installed the Vitos oil block off kit. After a few kicks it fired right up on choke then died. I looked at the side case where the oil pump used to be and the case was leaking oil. Please help I just got this blaster a week ago and want to get it running. Does the oil pump side case cover have a gasket?? According to the schematics it doesn't. The Vitos directions didnt indicate whether the flat side of the block off plate goes up or down.

Fixed the oil leak problem but now it still wont run. It has gas (wet spark plug) it has spark (brand new spark plug). But still wont start. I have heard blasters like to shear woodruff keys. So tomorrow I am going to check that. Keep ya posted.

welcome to the forum first. glad to hear you got the leak fixed and yes there is a gasket that goes between the crank side and the crank cover it should have come in the block off kit. check your grounds, when i pulled the tors out of my wifes bike the only thing that keeped if from starting was a ground. also if the spark plug has gotten wet it might have fouled. try another spark plug and see what that does. hope everything works out for ya
