I just recieved a Blaster from my brother. I have only been riding quads for a 6 months at this point. I rode bike's for most of my life. I'm really just in the process of learning and I'm really to have found this site. Here are some pictures. If someone could tell me what year quad is for starters. I honestly don't even know. ( I said I was new to the atv world)

The thumb throttle is broken and I need a new kick starter. I am definetly going to need help installing these parts and I'm looking forward to the advice.

O, quick question for anyone. How exactly to do I mix the oil and gas? I was told these has to be premixed. Thanks

well all i can tell you from the pictures is. you have carslile? stryker? rear tires.. its a 88-02 your front tires are backwards, you have nice nerf bars, your plastics were spray painted, pink rear shock, and someone stole your seat, lol

the year really isnt important man they were all the same from '88-'02 then from '03-'06 they put hydro brakes on them and changed the plastics a little. you have a pre '03. looks in decent condition, i would get that airbox lid bolted down though. does it run? what else needs to be done to it? oh and as far as your premix the best thing is to get a "ratio rite" cup and mix some good quality 2 stroke oil at 32-1 which is 4oz of oil to a gallon of gas. mix together, shake really well, dump in gas tank, then go.

Thanks, it doesn't quite turn on yet because of the kick starter but I took the transmission apart last night and the kick starter assembly wasn't lined up quite right so hopefully thats all that is wrong. It looks like I need rear brakes so i'm going to the cycle store later and grab everything I need. Hopefully I'll be running by the end of the day.

awesome, that store will most likely have the ratio rite, it costs about 5 bucks but worth a million lol. good luck!

I jumped on the band wagon with mine but Im very glad I got it. I have 3 Cans i mix 1 Gallon at a time lol I reallly need a better gas can .

Yea I run Super M and its a gallon so the syringe is nice cause i can just suck it out and squirt it right in the can :D

to find your year look up your 10th digit it can be either a number or letter. this has all the years for your vin ATV VIN Number. the best one i have found for bout every ATV. good luck and welcome to the forum! P.S. yours in in better condition then when i got mine

i know the (ratio-rite) cups people are loving this forum. Whatever it takes i guess. I fill a little 8 ounce bottle with marks on the side and i pour 4 ounces in for one gallon or the whole thing for 2 gallon mix
