i just got my blaster about a week ago, and the first thing i noticed was oil coming out of the breather from the crank case? its the transmission oil i assume? what would be the cause of this? i read a few things on here and couldnt really come to a final decision, and that was crank seal(s). does that make sense?

it also tends to bog out occasionally. i have yet to check the plug tho... one thing i have seen when i have been looking around here is the removal of the TORS. so ill be looking into that as well.
 
the oil coming from the tranny could be due to a bad seal or have you checked to see how much oil is in it because it could have to much in it. yea the TORS removal is one of the first things people do personally i would look into getting the moose brand one over the vitos one. they cost alittle more (ebay has them for $55 if i remember right) but its a nicer kit. the other thing i would look into is oil injection removal and just pre mix the gas.
 
theres definately not too much oil... it would have stopped by now. i've added a little bit here and there just so i dont run out. does that mean the crank seal sounds about right?


oil injection is already removed, i premix'd today for the first time. 32:1. uhm, theres a tors removal kit? link would be great!

and nah, it doesnt smell like it, not that i can really tell... its just kinda pushing it out the breather. usually when it gets turned off or after i ride the hell out of it it starts to do it when i shift
 
its kinda hard to tell without looking at it. if it is in fact the crank seal its not that hard to fix you just pull off the clutch cover, clutch assembly, and 2 gears on the crank and its right there.
 
hmmm i think a friend of mine is going to pull it apart with me in the next few days, he's built motors and everything, the last motor i pulled apart didnt go over well. lol. but thanks, this helps with what i should look for. any ideas on what else i should do seeing as this is my first blaster?
 
sounds like you got the main three things covered tors, pipe, and oil block off. one thing i would also look into is a aftermarket air filter alot of people use the uni foam one. if you dont already i would run a good 2 stroke oil i run klotz benol or klotz supertechniplate but as far as anything else its up to you and how you plan on riding it.
 
ok guys. im back... lol i did some screwin around and got it to run well. cleaned the filter and ran a tank of premium through it and it rips. but im still stuck with the breather spittin out oil.. any suggestions? the only reason i dont think its the crank seals anymore is bc it doesnt smoke other than start up and smells like it runs fine. but when its spittin oil out of the breather and its deffinatly not over filled.
 
that hose is where its coming out. ive drained it and refilled it with the recommended 600ml... any ideas why its coming out?
 
it comes out right next to the carb... i put a screw in it to try to slow it... no go. i would rather not have the oil leak by the hood if that doesnt fix it lol.
 
lol thats what i hoped mine would do when i filled it at the right level... and it didn't. again after riding it for maybe a total of 3hrs i have to fill it bc its pretty damn low
 
Yup putting to much engine oil in it.

Try using the glass in the side of your crank case..

I think its like 1 quart maybie little more
