But not new to Blasters. I bought a Blaster brand new when they came out in 1988. It was Yamaha Blue with white fenders and Yellow shocks. I was 14 at the time.

Fast Forward to the present.

I now have kids (12 and 14) and they are moving up from a Yamaha 4 zinger 60cc. My first thought was a Blaster of course! I searched Craigslist for a couple of weeks, then found one that would work just fine.

I went and bought it. As it turns out, you all may know the machine. It is Herpderplol's old black and red 03.

So here I am, repairing, restoring, and upgrading to suit me and my kids (well mostly me lol). It was fine the way I bought it other than some general tweaks, I just want to make it my own.

So that's my story and I'm stickin' to it :-)

Actually, I swapped it out until the kids get used to the clutch. They aren't experienced enough for the twisty.

But it sure is sweet. Pro taper grips and all! :-) Can't post pics until Sunday evening, as I travel for work and am in Minneapolis/St.Paul until then. But then I have 8 days off in a row to get serious about my tweaking!!

WELCOME TO THE FORUM !
That quad is sexy but the first mod I do to it is throw that twist throttle away and put a normal one because it is better for the kids to learn
GOOD LUCK WITH IT I:I

Yes, the twister is easy, I agree. The issue I have is that it is a little bit too easy for the wheeler to pull away and your hand to twist further. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them one bit, just one step at a time for new blaster riders.

Welcome.. and herp you not only sold your quad but you sold this forum with it..!!!! for owning a blaster you got the right forum.. great knowledgeable people on here....

Welcome to the forum and kudos on the purchase. That's a nice quad and it's good to see it in the hands of someone who will care for it.
