Hello,
From Colorado, born and raised. Got my first ATV this year, decided on the Blaster after internet research showed all the potential. I am new to owning a
4wheeler, I really need information on basic maintenance and a list of things I will need to accomplish this. I used to have a honda 80 as a kid but need a refresher on ATVs.
I just picked this beautiful 1995 Blaster and am excited to own and maintain it. Any and all information would be excellent.
Thank You,
Wyatt

basically just make sure you use a good quality premix oil. (not the cheapo junk you get at walmart etc....). use a good transmission oil, you can search for that, everyone likes something different. basically just do those things, keep it clean, keep the filter clean. It's refreshing to see someone actually wanting to maintain their quad!l

welcome to the forum

Yeah oil is the last thing to go cheap on I use Honda hp1 case oil and mtx synthetic 2 stroke oil and mix at 32:1 if you still have the oil Injection system look on the forum on threads to delete it cause if it fails and you have no idea whn t does it can cost you your motor the very least a top end rebuild and a crank too welcome to the forum

THanks for the information, I found a Royal Purple 2-stroke tcwlll premix, It was the only thing they had at Napa, is this trash, or useable? After some research on the internet I've read to mix 20:1 or 32:1, what do you suggest? I assume it's premix ( I just bought it ) because the oil injector line is cut. Let me know what you think.

go 32:1. haven't heard anything about the royal purple 2-stroke oil. do a search on here to see what people are using, castor, klotz, and yamalube are some favorites. amsoil is great as well

So I just bought some basic equipment, Bi fold ramp for my truck, ratchet tie downs,
6 gl.Gas can, Measuring cup to mix oil.
What else should I have in my garage, Whats the best oil and transmission fluid, etc?

everyone will give you a different answer on the oils. a lot of guys have started just running Type F ATF, or belray, or just 10w-40 motorcycle oil. I would stay away from the yamalube trans oil plus, unless your clutch is worn, i had problems with mine sticking and switched to the type f and it went away
